At the Screenshots Screamshots Workshop

We've been really stoked with this workshop and headed down to the inner depths of Nad Al Sheba in Dubai to find Tashkeel and see what's happening.

Organized with Crossway Foundation with alumna Tulip Hazbar. We created stories using text and images taken from a selection of Japanese films which ours was Yojimbo, a 1961 film by Akira Kurosawa. The process was simple; select your favorite scenes or lines in the film, screenshot it, keep the file, print it, cut the paper, paste it on a folded A5 paper. And boom! There you have it. A free flowing comic of abstracted film screenshots which came up with a very unexpected result. Ours was really funny though.

Big ups to Crossway Foundation and Tulip Hazbar for curating this event.
