Commissioned by Nike, 30th Anniversary Air Max 1 OG.
The Air Max 1 OG visual is a limited edition artwork designed by Manila born / Dubai based artist Rollan Rodriguez a.k.a Dogboy, Creative Director at Ape. It is a representation of his work retrospective of his style that has been collected throughout the years manifested on an Air Max 1 OG key visual.
Since most of his work are mostly done in an organic collage form, he transforms objects into iconography and symbolism thus becoming point of subjects of the art piece.
The event was launched at Concepts store, City Walk, Dubai. 03.11.17

Series of key visual development for the Abu Dhabi Rally Cross (WRX) campaign that encapsulates the excitement and elements that revolve around the event. To do that, we recommended a visual approach that shows both straight forward car racing and the other exciting elements that add to the event. Commissioned by Yas Marina Abu Dhabi.

A self-initiated project continuing the hand-painting discipline from our previous exhibit, Byahe. "Everything Will Be Ok" is juxtaposition of type, a playful rendition of saying OK in visual form. When hardtimes are looming, this piece is a guiding mantra.

Bread and Butter. A framed art collage series commissioned by Sound Restaurant and Cafe, Dubai. “Bread and Butter.” a series of collaged artworks, Art directed by Rollan Rodriguez and Illustrated by Oliver Santiago to compliment Sound’s natural concrete minimalist restaurant aesthetic. Bread and Butter is a remix of various analogue and digital technique, printed digitally on high resolution stock on limited quantities.
The exhibit supports the idea that restaurant welcomes up and coming artists to its venue by giving space to exhibit their works.

An interactive digital mural hoarding to announce their launch in Mall of the Emirates, Dubai. The style idea of the illustration comes from the idea that it this mural will be used as a projection base, using Augmented Reality tech called Lightform, wherein animation will be passing thru all the white spots of the artwork. Resulting in a full interactive experience.

Trying to find meaning in the time of lockdown.
Few months ago, we’ve been thinking about an alibi to hang around with fellow creatives around town. Surprisingly, we normally buy coffee beans to our neighboring coffee shop Nightjar Coffee in Alserkal Avenue, we saw some stickers populating a pole around the counter. Apparently, we have good amount of stash of stickers lying around the studio, an idea came up. a sticker-based event. stuck:dxb was conceived. We approached the cafe and agreed to have their shop as a venue. So, we activated and made it an official event/gathering
stuck:dxb was the first ever official sticker exchange and meet-up in Dubai. The event mechanics were simple: bring your stickers, trade, and enjoy the coffee. The event was the perfect way to meet like-minded individuals over a cup of coffee.

We were asked to develop seven separate illustrations depicting the cultural richness of the seven continents: Middle East, Europe, Asia, South America, North America and Australia.
It celebrates the beauty of the UAE lies in the diversity of it’s people and this diversity.
Winter season campaign for Al Qasba, Sharjah. The visuals were inspired by Al Qasba’s brand colors as well as the brand iconography that makes use of the silhouettes of people interacting with each other, doing a range of activities at Al Qasba.
‘A Place Just For You’ invites people to the idea that Al Qasba is a place that anybody can come to experience more of culture, more of dining, and more of entertainment.
A series of artwork commissioned for Healthpoint Hospital ENT clinic. The brief was to move away from conventional medical illustration but gravitating into a more stylish approach but still keeping intact its scientific aspect.
‘Byahe’ is an exhibition and film showing by design studio Ape Creative. It explores the culture and the craft of hand painted lettering on signage. The core inspiration for ‘Byahe’ arose out of an interest in hand painted signage iconically found on vehicles in the Philippines. ‘Byahe’ will explore how people connect through their stories of their travels and experiences using elements of typography & design on signage exemplified in collaborative effort of the designers of Ape Creative. The exhibition is a celebration of the slowly dying craft of hand painted signage - that often overlooked and or ignored.
STREETCON (Street Art Connection) is an Urban Art Jam organized by Al Ghurair Centre that spans from the 23rd of April to the 2nd of May 2015. It is one of Al Ghurair Centre’s signature events that occurs annually and celebrates art, music and culture.
Al Ghurair Centre aims to energize public spaces in order to make art accessible to the community. As for the artists, it will allow both local and international artists to showcase their talent and spark a conversation between them and the audience to interact and learn from. This event aspires to transform Al Ghurair Centre into a pinnacle zone in Dubai for public art that rejuvenates the streetscapes around the mall for both tourists and locals to enjoy.
STREETCON is the perfect opportunity to see more than 20 local and international artists getting involved on varied art activities to promote Urban Art in a public domain.

Cultination is a non-for-profit, member driven organization that aims to empower both the farmers and the local communities to support and preserve artisanal agriculture, making it the way of the future rather than a quaint relic of the past.

Commissioned by Capsule Arts, The Rove Downtown project is one of the more exhilarating and challenging tasks we've had the opportunity to work on.
The design approach was to have the mind of a street artist and the skill of a graphic designer. As a result, the product is both eclectic and relevant to its local flavouring.
Immense research went into the core of this project's creative process, immersing designers into creating products that are culturally sensitive to its execution.
This project is subdivided into smaller tasks: traditional stenciling, digital art, and packaging design.

La Hacienda is a desert retreat in the Arizona hillside of Fountain Hills. Inspired by the Spanish-colonial spirit and architecture, La Hacienda is an exclusive neighborhood that is both inspiring and nurturing.
To amplify that spirit, we designed an identity that is modern looking and show its distinct architectural feature. The palette of the sun kissed terra-cotta Arizona desert.
Borrowing the craft of the early 1900 stamp style and minimize it into simple workable geometry. We took two iconic elements found on the La Hacienda environment; the Saguaro (cactus) the Arizona native plant and the La Hacienda arch porch, making it a recognizable graphic representation of the identity.
